Ayyappa devotees visiting Sabarimala this festival season, will get all required help from the state government.
The government has decided to set up Helpline (No 18004256656) at the Endowments Commissioner’s Office in Hyderabad to offer all information regarding the pilgrimage, including bus, train and flight timings, tickets, sevas and different rituals at Ayyappa temple.
The proposed Helpline functions roundtheclock from December 24 to January 20. The Andhra Pradesh Information Centre will additionally be set up at Sannidhanam near Ayyappa Swamy temple in Sabarimala. It will function roundtheclock from December 25 to January 20.
Principal endowments secretary (revenue) KV Ramana Chary held a meeting with the officials of revenue, authorities, APSRTC, health and information departments in his chambers in the secretariat on Monday. The meeting discussed plans to be created for the efficiency of Ayyappa devotees visiting Sabarimala. The APSRTC will work because many because 700 buses to Sabarimala from many components of the state.
The hill shrine of Lord Ayyappa was closed on Tuesday night after the Mandala pooja, the ritual marking the conclusion of the first stage of the yearly Mandalam-Makaravilakku pilgrimage season.
Mandala pooja was held after adorning the idol with ‘thanka anki’, which was brought here on Monday after a four-day journey from Aranmula Sree Parthasarathy temple. Before the pooja, kalabhabhishekam was done on the idol of Lord Ayyappa.
The temple will reopen on December 30 for the 21-day Makaravilakku season.
The procession carrying the Thiruvabharanam, the attire in gold to be decorated on the idol of Lord Ayyappa, is taken out from Pandalam Valiyakoickal Sree Dharma Sastha Temple on January 13.
The auspicious Makarasamkrama pooja at Lord Ayyappa Temple is held at 12.58 am on January 15.
The yearly Makaravilakku, after adorning the Thiruvabharanam on the idol of Lord Ayyappa, is performed at 6.30 pm on January 15.
The procession from Malikappuram Devi Temple will be carried out from January 15 to 20.
Lord Ayyappa temple is closed at 7 am on January 21 after the customary darshan of Pandalam Raja’s representative.
